Nashville, Tennessee
Ready for rooftop cocktails, hot chicken, and country tunes?
Here’s the ultimate 3-day fi-tinerary for an unforgettable girls' trip to Nashville — full of local eats, photo ops, and honky-tonk fun
More people than ever have been grabbing their cowgirl boots and boogying their way to Nashville to enjoy the famous country music, sites, and celebrations. The praises from young tourists significantly influenced our choice of destination around this city and our intention to visit this destination. My college friends and I wanted to get our first taste of the South and meet cute cowboys. We went at the end of July, which was hot and sweaty but classic summer weather. Our outfits consisted of shorts and sandals during the day and miniskirts at night. It was a quick girls' trip, so let me lay out the fi-tinerary for a jam-packed weekend getaway to Nashville!
Day 1
Night
Our girls’ weekend kicked off after work on a Friday, with evening flights landing around 11 PM. Nashville International Airport (BNA) is blessedly near downtown — about 20–30 minutes by Uber.
Pro tip: Get ready in the airport bathroom if you're short on time! A little makeup touch-up and a change of clothes prepared me to hit the town as soon as I landed.
We headed straight to Bar Sovereign, a tucked-away gem with a dim, woodsy vibe and killer cocktails. It was the perfect low-key start to a wild weekend.
We booked an Airbnb in Germantown — a youthful, charming neighborhood that felt safe, walkable, and Instagrammable. (Bonus: it’s close to downtown without the downtown noise!)
Day 2
Morning
We woke up ready to explore one of Nashville’s most vibrant neighborhoods: 12 South.
Here's how we spent the morning:
Coffee at Frothy Monkey: Grab a cappuccino and a pastry.
Picnic at Sevier Park: Coffee tastes better when you drink it under giant shade trees!
Photo Ops: Snap pics at the famous “I Believe in Nashville” mural and Amelia’s Flower Truck.
Boutique Hopping:
Draper James (Reese Witherspoon’s store — southern charm alert!)
Hero Boutique, Marine Layer, and Krewe Eyewear.
Tip: If you're traveling with guys, suggest they hit Top Golf while you shop!
We stayed cool with a Blue Monkey Shaved Ice and grabbed pastries at Five Daughters Bakery (their 100-layer donuts are divine).
Afternoon
Next stop? Hattie B's — a Nashville legend.
Wait time: 30–45 minutes (worth every second).
What to order: Medium heat chicken tenders and pimento mac & cheese.
Pro tip: Bring water, sunblock, and patience during busy hours.
If you have kids in tow, consider letting them nap in the car while someone stands in line!

Night
We had a reservation at White Limozeen, Dolly Parton's iconic all-pink rooftop bar, for dinner and drinks. The bar is not just photogenic—the cocktails and views are stellar.
Afterward, we danced the night away on Honky Tonk Highway, where every bar had live music blaring on multiple floors.
Top spots we loved:
Honky Tonk Central
The Stage
Whiskey Row
Casa Rosa (Miranda Lambert's bar!)
If you have energy left, locals swear by Midtown for fewer tourists and even better music scenes.
Day 3
Morning
We woke up starving — Nashville does brunch like nowhere else.
Milk and Honey: Trendy hotspot in The Gulch (expect a 1-hour wait!).
Smoothie from Juice Bar next door while waiting.
Walk The Gulch:
Pose with the Wings mural.
Shop at Kittenish (Jessie James Decker’s boutique).
Afternoon
Grabbed drinks at LA Jackson, another dreamy rooftop bar.
Took an Uber to Centennial Park and marveled at the Parthenon replica — yes, Nashville has its slice of Greece!
Laid out picnic blankets, sipped iced tea, and people-watched.
Afterward, we wandered through Vanderbilt University’s gorgeous campus. Altar'd State boutique and nearby murals offered perfect last-minute souvenirs and photo ops.
Sunday afternoon, we packed up our memories (and our matching cowgirl boots) and headed to the airport.
Nashville truly offers the perfect blend of city energy, country roots, and southern hospitality.
When to Visit: Spring (March-May) or Fall (September-November) for milder temps.
